Nature’s Foster an environment activist group of  Bongaigaon, started with with a small beginning in the year 1991, with very limited resources but full of enthusiasm and vision to conserve the rich biodiversity of North East India , in harmony with people’s values and aspirations .

For more than three decades, we have carried out various programmes   to conserve the habitat of wild animals  as well as took initiatives to restore the degraded habitats . In this Endeavour , the conservation effort was specially focused  on people’s participation.

We have taken initiative to educate and aware common mass about the wide variety of environmental aspects including preservation of nature and natural habitat, conservation of endangered species, rescue of animals and various wildlife related misconceptions to mitigate the human-wildlife conflict. We also motivate the students and youths about environment related problems in local context, so that they love and save the unique biodiversity of this region. Moreover , we are also taking  active  part to form common platformfor the NGOs and CBOs working in the region for the conservation of nature and natural resources.

A registered Society formed on 21.04.1991 and registered under Society Registration Act XXI of 1860 aiming to promote conservation of Biodiversity and it’s habitat of the region. The organization has based at Bongaigaon and has been operating in western Assam and also in some area of Assam for conservation of biodiversity.

 

Mission: A Promise to nature for conservation of flora & fauna and their habitats in all forms through action oriented study and people’s participation.

Objectives:
(A)     Protection and conservation of our rich natural bio-diversity.
(B)     Training centre of neighboring people for the purpose of growing conservation know how and train them to be a nature lover.
(C).    To create and foster the spirit of generous consideration among the people through study of the problems of ecological disturbances etc.
(D)     To promote and practice of the principle of "BETTER WORLD" for the coming generation.
(E).     To unite the members in the bond of friendship. Good fellowship and mutual understanding.
(F).     To promote better coordination and exchange of notes and information among the nature organisation/lovers.
(G).    To collect the bio-data of the flora and fauna of neighbouring regions of Bongaigaon and also other areas.
(H).    To take interest in solving the rural problems with Scientific process & utilising the natural resources and also with the concerned authorities.
(I)       To create awareness and mobilize local concerned authorities for enforcement of the existing legal guidelines related to conservation of nature.
(J)       To publish journal, newsletter, leaflet etc as a part of documentation of biodiversity and awareness among the masses.
